In collaboration with The Seattle Times, Big Local News is providing full-text nursing home deficiencies from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). These files contain the full narrative details of each nursing home deficiency cited regulators. The files include deficiencies from Standard Surveys (routine inspections) and from Complaint Surveys. Complete data begins January 2011 (although some earlier inspections do show up). Individual states are provides as CSV files. A very large (4.5GB) national file is also provided as a zipped archive. New data will be updated on a monthly basis. For additional documentation, please see the README.

The findings were: 1. Observation of resident #1 on 3/12/19 at 5 PM showed the resident was on contact isolation for extended spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL) in the urine. Continued observation showed the resident's Foley catheter bag was uncovered and lying on the floor. a. Interview on 3/12/19 at 5:14 PM with RN #2 revealed the Foley bag should always be off the floor and covered. b. During an interview on 3/13/19 at 2 PM the infection control nurse stated the expectation was that catheter bags should be covered and not laying on the ground. 2020-09-01
